The Whiskey Lab exists because Scotland's best whisky never made it to American shelves. Independent bottlers produce some of the most exceptional single cask Scotch in the world, but the US market is built for big brands with big distribution budgets.
We built the infrastructure to change that: importing, warehousing, compliance, and direct-to-consumer sales, all under one
roof in Virginia. Every bottle on this site was selected by hand, imported by us, and stored in our own facility.

Before whisky, Jay Roberts served as a submariner in the US Navy, published physics research, advised intelligence agencies on strategy and tech futures, and helped scale a startup from $50K to $2M+ in
revenue.
The thread through all of it is the same: step into complex environments, impose structure, and move forward. He built The Whiskey Lab after spending years importing Scotch through the major pay-to-play platforms as a brand owner, then analyzed the billing in detail and built something better.
