This Privacy Policy explains how The Whiskey Lab, LLC (“The Whiskey Lab,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with www.thewhiskeylab.com (the “Site”) and related communications (the “Services”). We operate the Site as a marketing and information portal for independently bottled Scotch whisky. We do not sell alcohol directly; purchases are made from licensed third-party retailers (“Retailers”), who are the sellers of record and have their own privacy practices.
By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Scope and Changes
This Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site and our direct communications (email, forms). We may update this Policy; when we do, we’ll revise the date above and, where required, provide additional notice.

How to exercise your rights

We will verify your identity and respond within the timelines required by law (typically 45 days, with extension where permitted). If we deny your request, you may appeal through the same channel; we will explain our reasoning and how to contact your state Attorney General, where applicable.
Authorized agents (CA)
If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of your authorization and verification of your identity.
Opt-out signals
Where required (e.g., CA, CO, CT, NJ, DE on their respective effective dates), we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as GPC for the device/browser that sends the signal.
Financial incentives
If we offer a promotion or discount that could be considered a financial incentive under state law, we will provide the required notice describing the material terms and how to opt in/out.
10. International Visitors
The Site is intended for U.S. users. If you access from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries that may have different data-protection rules.
11. Third-Party Sites and Retailers
Links, embedded checkout, and other third-party features are governed by the third party’s terms and privacy policies. Review those policies before transacting; we do not control their practices.
