This is the \u003cstrong\u003elast liquid from the vatting\u003c\/strong\u003e that has been running since batch 2 of Drookit Dug, built from casks where there has been more angels' share than expected: \u003cstrong\u003e45.1% abv, but at cask strength\u003c\/strong\u003e. Their motto is \"traditionally unconventional\": radical transparency about what is in the bottle, a story behind every label, and a healthy obsession with dogs and old cars. The team is Andrew, Chris and designer Alex.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLBD is already on the shelf at The Whiskey Lab, including their Aberdeenshire Single Malt core expression. This is one of their August 2026 releases, fresh across the Atlantic.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"twl-grid\"\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"twl-card\"\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat's in the vatting\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eA mix of distilleries.\u003c\/strong\u003e LBD are forbidden from listing the full cask breakdown on paper, but they can say there are a lot of predominantly \u003cstrong\u003eHighland malts\u003c\/strong\u003e in this vatting, and some \u003cstrong\u003every old grains\u003c\/strong\u003e, much older than the age statement would suggest.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSince batch 2 the blend has kept maturing in very quiet \u003cstrong\u003e2nd and 3rd fill hogsheads\u003c\/strong\u003e, extending that oxidative, reductive maturation without adding lots more wood.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThe 45.1% is not dilution.
